What is direct cremation?
Direct cremation is a low-cost alternative to a more traditional funeral service. It allows you to bid farewell to in a simple and fuss-free way. There are no limousines, pallbearers, ministers or service and no viewing is permitted.
Whilst Direct Cremation is a 'no frills' contemporary service, it does not mean that any corners are cut on the care that you or your loved one will receive as our usual high standards of care will be taken, with respect. Total cost £1,595 inclusive.This would include a Scatter Tube of your choice.
We promise to match any like for like written Direct Cremation offer given within a 60-mile radius of Salisbury.

Our Direct Cremation Service includes

- Daytime transfer from a hospital or Coroner’s Mortuary within 30 miles of Salisbury
- Completion of all documentation
- Doctors’ fees (where they apply)
- Cremation on a day and time that we choose, with no funeral service and no attendance at the Crematorium
- A simple coffin in standard size, inclusive of a name-plate
- Option to collect the cremated remains from our Funeral Home in a Wooden Casket/Scatter Tube (various designs) or for them to be scattered in the Garden of Remembrance (unwitnessed)
- No viewing in our Private Chapel
Details and Costs
Payment of the full cost must be made in advance. The total cost starts from £1,595 (Standard Coffin) inclusive of all disbursements, which we offer to our local community in Salisbury and the villages around (20 miles radius).
- Salisbury Crematorium £1,695
- Andover Crematorium £1,595
- Test Valley Crematorium, Romsey £1,595
The total will be reduced by £82.00 should the Coroner be involved.
Out-of-hours transfer is available at additional cost of £200. This package is excluded from our NHS discount scheme.
Funeral costs consist of the Funeral Directors' fees and those disbursement fees paid on your behalf, such as the Crematorium and Doctors' fees.
